What is the purpose of the Emmaus Centre?Established in March 2015 in response to the growing demand for services in the Macarthur region, the Emmaus Centre provides event facilities and professional services to staff, students and the community of Diocesan schools and agencies.

What does the Emmaus Centre provide?The Emmaus Centre provides professional facilities in three areas: Event Services, Student Services, Staff Services. Event Services The Event Team manage the Emmaus Centre meeting rooms and conference complex. Once you book your event via google calendar, the Event Team will contact you to discuss your requirements including room layout, technology, catering and any guest parking. On the day of your event, the Event Team prepare your meeting room with water, tea, coffee facilities, assist with technology set up, direct guests on arrival, and prepare catering orders for the times specified on your booking. Once the meeting is finished, the Event Team clean and sanitise the room and prepare for the next meeting. Event Team ext 9070 ececmreception@dow.catholic.edu.au Student Services Open to students from Yrs 10, 11 and 12 during school term and school holidays, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm. Extended hours to offered to Yr 12 students during HSC. Studio5 is located on the Ground Floor and provides agile study spaces with access to wifi, latest technology, printing and copy services for students from Diocesan schools in the Macarthur region. Students must book their attendance via the Studio5 website: https://www.atstudio5.com/ The SPLICED program for primary school students is completed at Studio5 as well as events with the Youth Ministry Coordinators. Staff Services CEO staff work spaces are located on Lvl 2 with access to printing and document preparation. Hot desks are available to all staff to book via the google calendar when working in the Macarthur. Staff have access to activity based work areas for collaboration, prepration, focus, and reflection.

Is there a reference guide for staff using the Emmaus Centre?Yes, there is an Emmaus Centre Protocols and Processes document available to CEO staff which has useful information on the site, easily referenced in an A-Z format. Is there a sacred prayer space?Yes. There is a Chapel on the ground floor in Studio5 that is available to all staff to use any time during business hours. This sacred prayer space was blessed by the former Bishop of Wollongong, Bishop Emeritus Peter Ingham.

What time can I access the Emmaus Centre?The Emmaus Centre is available for CEO staff to access using their security swipe card between 7.00am and 10.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays). Reception is open for visitors between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays).

What meeting rooms are available?There are three Meeting Rooms on the Ground Floor and a Conference Complex on Lvl 1 Mezzanine referred to as the Fr Michael Healy Conference Complex. What time can I access a meeting room?Meeting Rooms can be booked on Google Calendar from 9.00am allowing enough time for visitors to access the site from 8.30am when Reception opens. Staff wishing to access meeting rooms earlier can do so and must provide access to their guests if arriving before Reception opens at 8.30am.

How do I book a meeting room?You can book a meeting room directly via your Google Calendar. Start a new meeting; add time; then add the meeting room via the rooms tab. The Event Services Team will then contact you to arrange any specific room requirements and catering.

Is there catering available for my meeting?Yes. The Event Services Team will organise your catering requirements for your meeting directly with our suppliers. The minimum number for catering orders is 6.

Is there tea, coffee and water available in the meeting rooms?"Yes, tea, coffee and water is available in the meeting rooms. The Event Services Team set up the meeting rooms as per your preferences including any additional catering.

Do I need to clean the Meeting Room after use?No, you do not need to do anything to the room after you have finished your meeting. The Event Services Team have a system in place after each meeting for cleaning, sanitising and preparing the room for the next meeting.

Is there parking at the Emmaus Centre?Yes. There are 4 staff parking bays on site in the basement car park. If arriving before 9.30am staff are encouraged to park across the road in the Council Car Park where free all day parking bays (Oxley Street side) are available at this time. This keeps parking available at the Emmaus Centre for those staff arriving later in the day when availability in the Council Car Park is limited. How do I access the Emmaus Centre car park?Drive up to the basement car park roller door in Allman Street and using your CEO staff security card, swipe the reader on the wall to your right. This will activate the roller door to open. On exiting the car park, drive up to the roller door where there is a sensor that will automatically open the roller door.

How do I exit the Emmaus Centre car park?Drive up to the roller door which will activate the sensor to open the roller door. Do not take a short cut when exiting the car park over the parking bays as you will miss the sensor and the roller door will not open.

How do I book a hot desk?You can book a hot desk directly via your Google Calendar. Start a new meeting; add time; then add the hot desk via the rooms tab. For more information and a floor plan, go to the Bookings tab on the Emmaus Centre website: https://www.emmauscentrecedow.com/

What does a hot desk provide?Located on Lvl 2, a hot desk provides a telephone, monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse, disinfectant wipes, and equipment instructions.

What time can I book a hot desk?CEO staff have access to the site using their security swipe cards between 7.00am and 10.30pm Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays. Hot desks can be booked during these hours.

Can I use the Executive Office for a Meeting?Located on Lvl 2 in the staff work space area, this office is reserved for the Director of Schools when working from the Centre and Leadership Team Members. When not in use by the Director or LTMs, this office is available to staff and can be booked through the Event Services Team ext 9070 ececmreception@dow.catholic.edu.au As this office is primarily used by the Director of Schools and your booking may need to be moved at short notice, this space is to be used for internal meetings only. There is no hospitality available in this room. Staff have access to tea, coffee and water located in the Staff Kitchen on Lvl 2.

Is there CCTV at the Emmaus Centre?Yes, the building has CCTV cameras throughout the internal and external areas of the building. CCTV camera locations are clearly marked. How do I activate the lights outside of hours?To conserve energy the lights in the building are programmed from 7.00am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday. If you are working on site outside of these hours there is a night switch clearly labelled on each floor that will activate the lights.
